Fajardo is less than 45 minutes from San Juan, with wonderful beaches, numerous marinas with tours and snorkeling, and plenty of great restaurants and shopping!
Our favorite public beach in PR - lots of space, calm waters, and just seven minutes from the house
One of the best activities in the area – we highly recommend East Island Excursions! We've been on their Culebra and Icacos tours and loved both.
Nearby Luquillo offers shops and giant caribbean lobsters (along with other local dishes).
More than just beaches! Visit El Yunque forest for a cool, inviting day in the woods with waterfalls and more.
Visit our friends at Eco Action Tours for a night kayak tour of Fajardo’s Bio Bay!
Feeling adventurous? Try the amazing zip lines at Toro Verde! Don't want to trek to the jungle? They also have a smaller Urban Park in San Juan!
It's the favorite around the island, and if you are 18+, you can enjoy tours and mixology classes at Casa Bacardi or Ron del Barrilito Rum in San Juan!
There’s so much to do in San Juan, we really need to make another entire section. El Morro, Old San Juan, The Mall of San Juan for designer shops…yep, so muchu..
Rain is a fact of life in the tropics. Stuck inside and need fun for adults and kids? Check out The Outlet Mall at Route 66 - not just a great shopping mall, they also have movies, bowling, a huge arcade, ropes course, and go-karts!
This excellent booklet can be found in many hotels in Puerto Rico - but who needs to wait? Check out both their main site, and the online magazine, for the latest and greatest in food, fun, and adventure. They even have the occasional discount coupons (starting around page 185)!
