Air travel is noisy, and that's before the screaming babies. Brad loves these "wax" pillows - soft, easy to mold, and block out almost all sound.
Amber hates the "underwater" feeling of solid plugs, but these new designs allow you to hear some noise, while blocking most. The Loop in particular come with an extra "mute" to drop another 7dB if that baby behind you gets hungry.
If you find that you need a seat belt extender, it's much more convenient to carry your own. For $15 you save any hassles and can get settled quickly. This works on every US airline except Southwest (boo)
